An interesting gorge with little technical difficulty. The length makes this an arduous day out. Wet suits would be recommended in all but the hottest of conditions. Best done after heavy rain. Flora and fauna inside the gorge is sometimes spectacular!
The main gorge is 3.6km in length with 150m of descent. Approximate descent time of 5-8 hours.

Road Access: Two cars are required for this trip. Exit the AP7 at Junction 66. Pass the toll and turn right at the round about towards Orxeta on the CV 770. After 2.5km a large reservoir is passed on the left. The Relleu Gorge feeds into this. Cross a narrow bridge, immediately after this the road turns sharp right with a small “Cami road” straight on, take this. Another smaller bridge is crossed. This is the end of the gorge leave one car here.
Return to the CV 770 and pass through Orxeta. After another 3km a junction on the left sign posted for Relleu on the CV775. A very windy roads leads to Rellue. Turn left off the CV775 at the football ground, then left again immediately after the football ground. After approximately 3.5km a sign post on the right for “Cami Panta de Relleu”. Park here.
Barranco de Relleu: The Dam has steps cut into the left handside of the cliff. Abseil station. Either abseil (50m) or descend these carefully to where the rock angle increases. Another abseil station (12m). Or down climb a steep via ferrata section to the base of the gorge. This is the end of the technical difficulty. Walk, scramble, wade and swim your way through some water if you are lucky or very smelly mud if you are not. Depending on water levels over the last few weeks will depend on how dirty you will get! The bridge appears but not too soon. If you wish to clean off in the reservoir, do so discreetly as swimming in reservoirs is illegal.
