Finestrat Village on The Orange House Door step.

The Orange House is blessed having the village on the doorstep. It is a typical Mediterranean village with great architecture and beautiful views from the mountains to the sea. When walking the streets it is easy to feel the influence of the Moorish occupation centuries ago.

Finestrat is a village of 2 halves, one part in the mountains and one part down on the beach. The village has a good range of supermarkets, which still close for siesta so dont get caught out! We have a fishmongers,  a bakery which opens very early and banks with cash machines.

You can wonder around the village for an hour or so and really feel that you are miles away from the high rise blocks of Benidorm. The bars are extremely welcoming and coffee in the sunshine can be a great way to spend a rest day. Should you wish to eat out check out our where to eat page.

Cala de Finestrat can be reached with a very short car journey and has a really pleasant beach which gently slopes into the clear mediteranean. Restuarants line the front and range from expensive fish restaurants to the Irish bar for “pie and chips”.

You will also find a supermarket which stays open till 1am and is open on a Sunday which is not normal for Spain.
