Welcome to The Orange HouseArrive as guests, leave as friends...
Who are we?
Where are we?
Rich met Sam in 2001, she had retired after selling an IT business, he was an ex Army climbing bum, living in his landrover! They met due to Foot and Mouth in the UK making a local walking company very busy. They both saw the add in the local paper! Falling in love over the resusci Anne on the first aid course, the adventure began!
Rich took Sam climbing in Morocco, scary stuff but she was naive and would do anything in the early days. They did nothing for a further year, but then both got bored and realised that maybe they could start a small B&B, you know, a few climbers in a few bedrooms. HA!!!
A few days later and they spotted The Orange House for sale. Over priced and way much bigger than planned, an instant purchase was made. A friend Rachel came on board and TOH was born in 2003.
Rachel left a fews later as finances just didnt look after all 3. Still missed but never forgotten, Sam and Rich worked hard, long, hours making it work. Rich guiding using his Army and then MIA experience. Sam doing basically everything else, admin, cleaning, marketing etc etc.
The “Orange” Scheme was born when some Americans asked if they could work for board, the place really couldnt run without them.
Sam and Rich now live in Bulgaria and the plan is Orange House No2. However, they still strongly care about the customers experience whilst staying in Spain, they cant stress enough how easy they are to contact if you have anything to tell us, good and bad, both as important so please dont stay quiet.

The Orange House is located in Finestrat, a small village in the mountains behind Benidorm and a 35 minute drive from Alicante Airport.
This really does make it the perfect location on so many levels, not only for the rock climbing but also allows Benidorm tourists to enjoy the nightlife yet return back here to the peace and quiet.
The village is a short walk uphill from the house and you will be pleasantly surprised at what it has to offer.
Over 9 restaurants and bars, enjoy real Spanish food, pizzas or even an English bar for a full english breakfast.
3 supermarkets, a local butcher and 2 bakeries for fresh bread and croissants. We have a small museum, a tourist office and some great village trails. DO NOT USE SAT NAV to find us as it will not work, instead click the image to the left and use the goggle maps pin.
Very close to the village is the theme park Terra Mitica, a golf course is literally over the road. We can recommend the local beach which is also Finestrat, a perfect little bay, grat for families with kids. The Go Karting venue is a 10 minute drive away or they will come and colelct you.
If you want nature then head inland and you will be blown away by the views. Take a drive and you will think you have stepped back in time and take a strill around the villages like Orcheta or Sella. We do have a walking guide book in the office that you are more than welcome to borrow.
NOTE of Safety if you want to shop first. Do not leave your bags on show or make it obvious that you have bags inside. Carrafour has had many breakins from hire cars so do not spoil your holiday before it starts.
